New Delhi. There has been no bilateral series between India and Pakistan for the last one decade. In between, the talk of getting the series arose from both sides. But due to the strained relations between the two countries, this has not happened so far. Meanwhile, Rameez Raja, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, has made a big statement regarding the India-Pakistan cricket relationship. Raja told in a press conference after the PCB’s board meeting that BCCI President Sourav Ganguly had invited him to watch the IPL final twice. However, he decided not to go in view of the emotional attachment of the fans and the current political situation. He said that it would have been fine for me to go for cricket. But, it will take time for things to change now.
Last year, the second half of the league was conducted in the UAE after the corona cases surfaced in the IPL. At the same time, this year the entire tournament took place in India between Bio-Bubbles. According to the PCB chairman, apart from the IPL final held in India this year, he had received an invitation from Ganguly last year as well. Let us tell you that the BCCI has not included Pakistani players in the IPL since the second season. Pakistani players played in the first season of IPL in 2008.
