Mumbai: The new government of Shiv Sena-BJP alliance in Maharashtra will face floor test in the assembly on July 4. However, the government’s camp is not worried about this because CM Eknath Shinde says that we have enough majority to form the government.
On Friday, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that we have the support of a total of 170 MLAs, which is a comfortable majority to form the government in the state. He told that all the MLAs who are out now will come to Mumbai tomorrow.
Government to face floor test on July 4
Shinde Sarkara will face the floor test on July 4, the second day of the special session of the Assembly. Before this, the election of the Speaker of the Assembly will be held on July 3. Let us inform that the special session of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly was earlier to be held on July 2 and 3 but now it will be held on July 3-4.
Earlier today, BJP MLA Rahul Narvekar filed his nomination for the post of Maharashtra Assembly Speaker. The post of Maharashtra Assembly Speaker has been vacant for the last two years after Nana Patole’s resignation.
Program organized in party office
Meanwhile, on Friday, after the MVA government in Maharashtra, a celebration program was organized at the Bharatiya Janata Party office. However, the state’s Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis did not attend the event.
He had announced on Thursday that he would not be a part of the Eknath Shinde-led government, but later took oath as the deputy chief minister. A close aide of the Deputy Chief Minister said that he was busy holding a meeting at his residence ahead of the two-day special session of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly to be held on July 3.
