Ranji Trophy: Rajat Patidar’s bat spoke fiercely, IPL form continues even in Ranji Trophy


New Delhi. Madhya Pradesh made it to the final of the Ranji Trophy-2022 where it is up against 41-time champion Mumbai team for the title. Rajat Patidar has had a big hand in taking Team MP to the finals. He has played many great innings with his bat in this season. Rajat also performed brilliantly in the last season of IPL and his team also managed to qualify for the Royal Challengers Bangalore playoffs.

Rajat Patidar also did wonders in the final match of the Ranji Trophy at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru and scored a half-century on the third day. He returned unbeaten on 67. Madhya Pradesh has made a strong comeback in the final on the strength of its batsmen. By the end of the third day’s play, Madhya Pradesh had scored 368 for 3 in their first innings. When the third day’s play ended, Rajat Patidar returned unbeaten on 67 and captain Abhishek Srivastava on 11. MP’s team is currently 6 runs behind on the basis of first innings of Mumbai. Mumbai had scored 374 runs in their first innings.

Madhya Pradesh has performed brilliantly so far in this title match. Yash Dubey and Shubham Sharma scored centuries for MP on the third day. Yash was dismissed after scoring 133 while Shubham returned after scoring 113 runs. After the dismissal of these two batsmen, Rajat Patidar did not let the Mumbai bowlers breathe a sigh of relief. Pachasa hit 44 balls
Rajat Patidar completed his half-century in 44 balls while batting strongly in the Ranji Trophy final. During this, he hit hard strokes on the bowlers of Mumbai. However, after completing his half-century, he was dismissed by Mumbai bowler Shams Mulani. But the ball was a no ball, due to which Patidar got life. He has hit 13 fours so far in his innings of 67 runs. This is Patidar’s sixth fifty in the Ranji Trophy 2022.

Rajat Patidar’s excellent form of IPL continues in the Ranji Trophy as well. He has scored 573 runs in this tournament so far. Patidar has scored 1 century and 6 half-centuries during this period. His highest score in this season was 142 runs. He is the sixth highest run-scorer in the Ranji Trophy 2022.
