New Delhi. Punjab Kings’ talented wicket-keeper batsman Jitesh Sharma is one of the popular uncapped players of this IPL. In IPL 2022, Jitesh impressed a lot with his batting. In domestic cricket, Jitesh plays for Vidarbha. Now Jitesh shared a very interesting anecdote with another player of Punjab Kings, Kagiso Rabada.
Rabada said – don’t beat me
In an interview given to sports presenter Yash Kashikar, Jitesh told that after a match of Sunrisers Hyderabad in the league stage, Rabada called him and asked him to sit next to him. Rabada asked Jitesh, ‘You think one day you can play for India?’ To this Jitesh replied, ‘KG (Kagiso Rabada) I don’t think about the future. I try to focus on every match. I focus on one match at a time and every day. On this Rabada said to Jitesh, ‘I think in a few years I will bowl you in international cricket, just don’t beat me.’

Jitesh’s bat spoke a lot in IPL
Jitesh entertained the fans a lot with his aggressive batting in IPL. Jitesh scored 234 runs in 12 matches at a strike rate of 163.64. Whenever he got a chance to bat, he played aggressively. In some matches for Punjab, he was not given a chance, but when he got a chance, he grabbed it with both hands. The think tank of Punjab Kings was so impressed with Jitesh’s batting that to give him a place in the last 11, Impact player Shahrukh Khan was put out.
Jitesh is a fan of Jonny Bairstow
Talking about Jonny Bairstow, Jitesh said that he used to copy Johnny’s stance for a few years. Jitesh said, ‘I tried to take as much knowledge as possible from Johnny. I remember 2,3 years ago I used to copy his stance. I saw him score a century against Australia and became his fan. He is a wonderful person who always guides me because he wants to see me on a bigger scale. ,
