Punjab-Haryana will also be drenched with rain, monsoon will cover the whole of India in the next 2-3 days


New Delhi. Moving forward, the monsoon has covered the entire Punjab and Haryana. Monsoon clouds have also covered most parts of Rajasthan. The Indian Meteorological Department says that within the next two to three days, the rest of Rajasthan and Gujarat will also be drenched with monsoon rains and thus the southwest monsoon will cover the entire country. The Meteorological Department (IMD) said that a low pressure line has remained at the lower level from north-west Rajasthan to the Bay of Bengal, which is bringing moisture and winds. Due to this, there may be heavy rain at isolated places in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Western Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of very heavy rain in Uttarakhand on July 5. There will be light to moderate rain at some places in MP, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha for the next 5 days. In the Gangetic areas of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal, there may be heavy rain with lightning for the next 4-5 days.

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the low pressure line from South Gujarat coast to South Maharashtra, light to moderate rain may occur in Konkan, Goa, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala. There is a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka for the next 5 days. Giving information about the areas with the highest rainfall, IMD said that between 8.30 am to 5.30 pm on Friday, 11 cm of rain was recorded in Ajmer, 9 cm in Alibaug and 8 cm in Bhilwara.

According to the weather agency Skymet, during the last 24 hours, moderate to heavy rains occurred in some parts of Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Coastal Karnataka, parts of Kerala, Northeast Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Light to moderate rain was also observed over Haryana, parts of Punjab, isolated parts of Himachal Pradesh and Rayalaseema, north coast of Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Assam and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Light to moderate rain occurred over rest of Northeast India, parts of Vidarbha, Marathwada, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep, Saurashtra, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Interior Odisha and Chhattisgarh.
