Presidential election: Yashwant Sinha will file nomination today, there may be a joint meeting of the opposition


New Delhi. Presidential opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha is going to file his nomination today. A meeting of the opposition can also be held in the Parliament House regarding this. Many big leaders of the opposition will be involved in Yashwant Sinha’s nomination program. Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president and minister K. T. Rama Rao will attend the nomination program of opposition presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha on Monday. Party sources said that Rama Rao has already left for the national capital Delhi.

According to a news agency language news, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s son Rama Rao and some TRS MPs will also attend Yashwant Sinha’s nomination program. Sources said that though KCR did not attend the meeting of opposition parties to finalize the candidate for the presidential election, the ruling party in Telangana has decided to support Sinha’s candidature. NCP President Sharad Pawar is also reported to be involved in Yashwant Sinha’s nomination.

Whereas the Central Government has provided ‘Z’ category security of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) commandos to Yashwant Sinha, the opposition candidate for the post of President. After receiving instructions from the Union Home Ministry to the VIP Security Wing of CRPF to ensure the security of Sinha, the squad has taken over the security of Sinha. Officials said that whenever Sinha travels anywhere in the country, eight to ten armed men will protect him. It is worth noting that NDA’s presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu has also been given Z+ category security.

Yashwant Sinha will visit different parts of the country to seek votes for himself after filing his nomination papers on June 27. The presidential election will be held on 18 July and the counting of votes will take place on 21 July. Significantly, the term of the current President Ram Nath Kovind is going to end on July 24.
