Patna. During the Question Hour of the Monsoon Session of the Bihar Legislature, Industries Minister Shahnawaz Hussain answered the questions of the members of the Legislative Council on Tuesday. He told that as much effort is being made for the industrial development of Bihar. Biada has 74 industrial areas in Bihar, out of which an amount of Rs 174 crore is being spent on the development of many industrial areas. In the various industrial areas present in Bihar, infrastructure is being developed on the lines of plug and play facility in about five lakh square feet area in 19 places so that entrepreneurs can bring their equipment and start industrial activities.
During the Question Hour in the Legislative Council, member Ramchandra Purve had asked a question regarding the development of industrial areas of Biada in the state and allotment of land here. In response to this, Industries Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said that in the financial year 2021-22, a total of 350.52 acres of land has been allotted for the establishment of 60 industrial units in different districts of the state. He said that a total of 2442.41 acres land of sugar mills has been transferred to Biada. By preparing its master plan, basic infrastructure is being developed for the establishment of industries here.

The Industries Minister also informed in the House that 2796.70 acres of vacant land is available for allotment for setting up industries in various industrial areas of Biada in Bihar. Along with this, he said that infrastructure like boundary, sewerage or other necessary works are being done by the Industrial Development Authority (Aida) in various industrial areas of the state with a total amount of 174 crores.
Responding to questions in the House, Industries Minister Shahnawaz Hussain said that an Integrated Manufacturing Cluster is being set up on a total of 1670.22 acres of land in the Dobhi zone of Gaya district under the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor along with Mega Food Park in Muzaffarpur. Under the Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti Yojana, a proposal of Rs 806.31 crore is being prepared and sent to the central government for the development and strengthening of infrastructure in industrial areas.
