New Delhi. On the back of the superb bowling of spinner Kumar Kartikeya and right-arm fast bowler Gaurav Yadav, Madhya Pradesh bundled out Mumbai’s second innings for 269 runs on the fifth and last day of the Ranji Trophy final. The target of 108 runs in front of the team of Madhya Pradesh, which took a lead of 162 runs in the first innings. Mumbai had scored 374 runs in the first innings. In response, the team of Madhya Pradesh scored 536 runs on the basis of centuries by Yash Dubey, Shubham Sharma and Rajat Patidar.
On the fifth day on Sunday, Mumbai started playing ahead of 113 runs for 2 wickets. 41-time champions Mumbai, Armaan Jaffer was batting on 30 and Sudev Parkar on nine in the second innings at the end of the game on the fourth day. Hardik Tomor was sent to open the innings along with captain Prithvi Shaw to make quick runs, but Shaw returned to the pavilion after scoring 44 runs in 52 balls. Tomor scored 25 runs and was dismissed by Kumar Karthikeya.

Sarfaraz Khan missed half century by 6 runs
Mumbai lost their third wicket in the form of Armaan Jaffer. Armaan returned to the pavilion adding 7 runs to his personal score yesterday. He scored 37 runs in 40 balls with the help of 3 fours. Jaffer was bowled by Karthikeya. After this Suved Parkar held one end. Suved completed his half-century during this period. He was bowled by Karthikeya on the personal score of 51 runs and gave the fourth blow to Mumbai. After the dismissal of Suved, the eyes were on Sarfaraz Khan, for whom the current season was great. Sarfaraz missed his half-century by 6 runs. He scored 45 runs in 48 balls.
Yashasvi Jaiswal departed after scoring 1 run.
Yashasvi Jaiswal disappointed. Jaiswal was caught by Karthikeya at the hands of Rajat on the personal score of one run, while Shams Mulani was run out after scoring 17 runs. Mumbai lost their seventh wicket in the form of Sarfaraz, who tried to accelerate the run rate, was caught by Parth Sahni by Anubhav Agarwal.
Tanush Kotian contributed 11 while Tushar Deshpande contributed seven runs. Karthikeya got Kotian caught by Himanshu Mantri while Tushar was run out. In the second innings for Madhya Pradesh, Kumar Karthikeya took 4 while Gaurav Yadav and Parth Sahni took two wickets each.
