New Delhi. The fifth and final match of the 2021 Test series between India and England is to be played in Birmingham from July 1. Doubt remains on who will captain Team India in this match. Captain Rohit Sharma was found to be Corona positive some time ago. After which he is not decided to play in this match. When the last 4 matches of this series were played in 2021, then Virat was the captain of Team India. After Virat left the captaincy, Rohit was made the captain in all formats.

Now England all-rounder Moeen Ali has given his opinion on this whole matter. Moin believes that Virat should lead Team India in the absence of Rohit Sharma, although Moin also said that he does not think that Virat will do so. During a conversation with India Today, Moin said, ‘Because Virat was the captain in this series even earlier, so I will give the captaincy to Virat.’ He said, in the end, it will be Virat’s decision whether he wants to take it (captaincy) or not.

‘England has the upper hand’
Moeen Ali feels that England will have the upper hand in this match. He has just come after beating New Zealand 3-0. Moeen said that if this series had ended last year itself, India could have won the series 3-1, but now England has the upper hand. India has also played less cricket in England. Let us tell you that India has not played any test match for the last 4 months. In March this year, Team India played its last Test match which was against Sri Lanka.

Bumrah will be the captain if Rohit does not play
Rohit’s play in this match depends on the RTPCR report. If Rohit’s report comes negative on June 30, then he can play in the Birmingham Test. In the absence of Rohit, fast bowler Bumrah can be given the responsibility of captaincy.
