Team India, dodging Leicestershire, declared the innings on the first day’s score without playing. India scored 246 for 8 on the first day of the practice match. Team India’s emerging wicket-keeper batsman KS Bharat played an unbeaten 70 not out. After this, the Indian bowlers showed a wonderful game and took 4 wickets for Leicestershire before lunch on the second day. Leicestershire had scored 101 runs for 4 wickets till lunch.
Bowling brilliantly for Team India, pacers Mohammed Shami and Mohammad Siraj took 2-2 wickets in their name. Currently, Leicestershire are 145 runs behind on the basis of India’s first innings. In this practice match being played at Grace Road Leicester, Team India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first.
