Ind Vs Ire: Big record for Hardik Pandya, the only Indian captain to do so


New Delhi. Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya started the series against Ireland with a win as a captain. India defeated Ireland by 3 wickets in the first T20 match. Only 2 T20 matches are to be played in this series. The second T20 match will be played on 28 June. In this match, Umran Malik also made his debut in international cricket. Hardik Pandya also not only won this match as a captain but also set a new record which no Indian captain has been able to do in T20 before.

First Indian captain to take wicket in T20
In this match, Pandya took one wicket for 26 runs in 2 overs. Pandya proved to be expensive but with this wicket he has become the first Indian captain to have taken a wicket in T20. No Indian captain has been able to do this before.

Hardik said after the match, ‘It is great to start the series with a win, luck was good that the match could be played today. It is important for our team to start with a win. I spoke to Umran. He feels comfortable bowling with the old ball and they (Ire) batted brilliantly.

Many things went well for India in this match. Opener Deepak Hooda batted brilliantly and scored 47 runs in 29 balls and took the team to the target. Ishan Kishan also played a short but effective innings of 26 runs. Dinesh Karthik scored 5 not out for India. On 28 June, India would like to win the series 2-0 against Ireland by defeating them in the second T20 match. If this happens, Hardik will win his first series as captain.
