New Delhi. The final match of Duleep Trophy 2022 is being played between West Zone and South Zone in Coimbatore. Dinesh Karthik has praised the performance of a player in this match and has also said that he will soon get an entry in Team India. In the five-day match, West Zone captain Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and decided to bat first. West Zone were all out for 270 runs in 96.3 overs in the first innings. In reply, South Zone scored 318 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the over till the end of the day’s play. With this, at the end of the second day’s play, South Zone has taken a lead of 48 runs on the basis of first innings.

Baba Inderjit was the hero of the first innings for South Zone, who scored 118 runs in 125 balls with the help of 14 fours. Baba Inderjit is the only batsman in this match to score a century in two days’ play so far. Earlier, West Zone wicket-keeper batsman Het Patel missed out on scoring a century when he was dismissed for 98.

Meanwhile, Indian team’s wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik has praised Baba Inderjit fiercely and predicted that he may get a call-up in the Indian team very soon. Let us tell you that both Dinesh Karthik and Baba Indrajit play for Tamil Nadu in domestic cricket and Karthik is well aware of the talent of the right-handed batsman.

Apart from this, Baba Inderjit has scored 1154 runs in 41 matches of List A with the help of a century and 8 half-centuries. He has scored 340 runs in 23 T20 matches.

Indrajit is the star of domestic cricket
Indrajit scored his maiden first-class double century while playing for India Red in the Duleep Trophy 2017-18. He scored a century (109) in the opening match of Duleep Trophy 2018-19. He remained as the leading run-getter for India Green. He scored 149 runs in two matches. He topped the scoring charts for Tamil Nadu in the Ranji Trophy 2018-19, scoring 649 runs in eight matches. In the Ranji Trophy 2021-22, Indrajit’s average was 99.00. He scored 396 runs in three matches at an average of 99.00. He scored three centuries with the best score of 127. Unfortunately, Tamil Nadu failed to get past the group stage. Ranked third in Group H below Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.
