Mumbai: Amidst the ongoing political turmoil in Maharashtra, an important statement has come from the Congress party. Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole has said that if Shiv Sena wants to separate from Congress and NCP to save its family, then we have no problem. If needed, we are ready to sit in the opposition. He also raised questions on the role of the Governor and the BJP.

Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has convened the assembly session on June 30 for floor test amid the rebellion of Shiv Sena MLAs led by Eknath Shinde. Maharashtra Congress leader Nana Patole made serious allegations against the governor regarding this. He alleged that the role of the governor is doubtful. The governor is working for a particular party. It is a threat to democracy and the Constitution.

Patole, a senior leader of the Congress party, which is running the government in alliance with Shiv Sena, said that if Shiv Sena wants to separate from Congress and NCP to save its family, then we have no problem. We are ready to sit in the opposition. He said that we did not make friendship with Shiv Sena like BJP. We are with Shiv Sena till the end. BJP only cuts the branch which is with it.

Targeting the BJP, Nana Patole alleged that the BJP is in too much of a hurry to form the government in Maharashtra. They do not care about the people, but only and only with the power. He said that in view of the floor test, we have asked all our MLAs to reach Mumbai. We will fight our battle legally. I sincerely hope that we will get justice from the Supreme Court.

Let us tell you that Shiv Sena Chief Vip Sunil Prabhu has reached the Supreme Court against Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari’s order to conduct floor test on June 30. Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi on his behalf has told the Supreme Court that the floor test is illegal, as it cannot include MLAs facing disqualification. After this, the Supreme Court has agreed to hear the petition at 5 pm today.
