Big claim of BJP leader, said- party neither talked to Eknath Shinde nor got any offer


Mumbai. Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader in Maharashtra Sudhir Mungantiwar on Monday claimed that his party has not spoken with disgruntled Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde. Nor has the party received any proposal from Shinde. He said that the strategy of ‘monitoring the situation’ has been adopted in the meeting of the state BJP’s core committee here. He said Monday’s order of the Supreme Court was also discussed in the meeting.

“We have neither spoken to Eknath Shinde, nor have we received any proposal from his side,” the former Maharashtra finance minister told reporters after attending the meeting at Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis’s residence. Shinde is camping in Guwahati along with some disgruntled party MLAs. He is accompanied by nine ministers of the state government, whose portfolios were taken over on Monday. When asked about the talks that took place in the core committee meeting, he said, “We discussed the Supreme Court order. We will take a wait and watch approach.
