The youth of Udaipur had posted on social media in support of Nupur Sharma. Since then he was getting threats. Since the murder of the young man, the police in UP is also on alert. The top police officers have been instructed for foot patrolling in the field. Along with this, instructions have been given for strict monitoring on social media. Along with this, orders have also been given to take immediate action on the rumours.
At the same time, intensive monitoring is also being done from the DGP headquarters. Significantly, after the controversial statement of Nupur Sharma, violence erupted in Kanpur on 3 May and after the Friday prayers the following week, violence erupted in many cities of UP. During this stone pelting and firing also took place.
It is worth mentioning that on Tuesday, a businessman was murdered in Udaipur after entering his shop. The killers entered the shop posing as customers and slit his throat. The accused fled from there after the incident. As soon as the news of this spread in the city, there was tension and the situation seemed to be deteriorating. Seeing the deteriorating situation, internet service has been banned in Udaipur with immediate effect.
At the same time, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed grief by tweeting and wrote that I condemn the heinous murder of the youth in Udaipur. Strict action will be taken against all the criminals involved in this incident. The police will go to the bottom of the crime. I appeal to all parties to maintain peace.
